Dear Parents of Grade 3

I hope everyone will have a nice spring break.

The Grade 3 JNL students have Japanese homework during spring break.
They have to finish their kanji skill book (blue pages),  read aloud (Ondoku) from their
textbook "Tanka o tanoshimou" and write their journal.
Please check it with your child.

Here is monthly Japanese class newsletter. Please enjoy reading it.
                                                                                            Ms.Hayashi

This month, the Grade 3 students were interested in learning ”Ro-ma ji (Roman alphabet)”.“Ro-ma ji” is often seen on the sign in the town, or it is useful for imput in personal computer by Roman character. They know already the alphabet well, so it is easy for them. They enjoyed reading and writing “Ro-ma ji”.
Next topic was“Syushokugo”, this is important grammatical exercise. They learned about the modifier (a word such as an adjective or adverb that describe another word).
The last story for this term was “Sugata o kaeru daizu”. They read this story in each paragraph carefullyand learned that soybeans changes into various food such as “soy sauce (しょうゆ)”,“soybean flour (きなこ)”,“green soybeans (えだまめ)” and “soybean paste (みそ)”. We had a “Daizu Party” eating those food together!!
